An independent coffee company in San Francisco’s SoMa district, Sightglass coffee is made from house-roasted beans served along with baked goods in a bi-level, industrial space. If you can’t make it to their space, try a cup at Noe Valley Bakery, and grab a twice baked almond croissant while you’re there!

5. FIVE WATT, MINNEAPOLIS
Specialty drinks and beautifully crafted coffee in the Kingfield neighborhood of Minneapolis. The perfect spot for a fancy Saturday morning pick-me-up, although you will pay for it. They often serve Patisserie46 pastries – a French bakery on Grand and another favorite.

The Coffee Collective roasts and brews their own high-end coffee and incorporates several elements of chemistry, including using specific water temperatures for each type of roast and bean. Also, most Copenhagen coffee shops have Danishes and other types of cakes (the Danes are crazy about cakes!), so be sure to grab one, and enjoy!
